At the highest end of the upcoming releases, NUKE STUDIO gives users a powerful node-based VFX, editorial and finishing studio that’s been built for both individuals and collaborative teams to put more power in their hands when working on quick-turnaround projects, in a way that’s previously not been possible.

NUKE STUDIO’s exclusive functionality:

Complete online-editing toolkit - Efficient and intuitive editing tools that allow you to work faster, from on set edits to online conforms.

Real-time effects in the timeline - Powerful GPU accelerated effects can be placed directly in the timeline, giving creative people the opportunity to quickly experiment, polish and develop the professional look they require.

Fluid end-to-end workflow - Combined timeline and node-graph workflow allows users to work in the way that best suits them, with all the tools provided to finalize a project from beginning to end in just one application.

Maximum collaborative control - A hub for full project control provides editors and artists an outlet to share scripts, work collaboratively with annotations and version up and down with ease.

4K playback in real-time - Plays in-application and through SDI-Out Hardware gives reassurance and confidence to client attended sessions.

Advanced built-in rendering - A built-in render farm component that will automatically utilize all available resources, in order to considerably improve speed and performance, either on a single machine or when connected to a multiple setup.

Exclusive updates to NUKEX and NUKE STUDIO:

Planar tracker reworked - provides an integrated Planar Tracker node with new pattern matching algorithm to enable and make possible tracking featureless planar surfaces.

Kronos, Vector Generator and Motion Blur 2 - Provides a new motion estimation algorithm that boosts the quality and temporal consistency of retimed image sequences, built around OCULA technology. This engine greatly lowers the artefacts typically associated with optical flow, consequently giving you the results you want faster, and with less adjustments.

Core compositing updates in the whole NUKE 9 range:

Native Flipbook tool - Integrated and streamlined player capabilities added to NUKE and NUKEX, based on NUKE STUDIO technology.

Increased performance updates
- Covering NUKE’s EXR reader, Deep EXR reader, Particle system and Scanline Renderer to name a few.

Enhanced 2D format support - Adds support for MXF files, including read from MXF for DNxHD, MPEG2, Sony RAW (F55 and F65), AVCI and DV image files.

OFlow improvements - adds GPU acceleration.
