This corporate video was captured on the RED EPIC camera and turned around in 5 weeks! Kelly Wolfert from Keen Eye in Edmonton, Alberta, approached LookLabs for final picture grading. We used BIG SL-3535 to accentuate the primaries and achieve true-to-life colours. Applying BIG to this video, that is comprised of still-like portraits with big blue skies and beautiful skin tones, immediately gave us an outstanding base grade, allowing us to spend time finessing and shaping the final look.

The Lab just put the finishing touches on an Indie teen comedy feature film shot on RED ONE (with the EPIC sensor) and finished in SpeedGrade. This is the first feature to use our SpeedLooks CLEAN SL-3500 optimized for the RED. For our SL-3500 to work perfectly when applied to the footage, we switched the RED footage metadata to SpeedLog by applying the RED camera patch. We applied SL-3500 without doing any shot adjustments and the Director had a big smile on his face.

In collaboration with DC Collective, LookLabs completed the color grade on this TV spot by using SpeedLooks CLEAN SL-3500 with Fuji emulation. Giving it the cooler color temperature and crisp highlights of Fuji 35MM film stock.

Evolve media and Jump Studios working with ESPN and the NBA collaborated to make this tease for the NBA draft. Shot on location over the course of two days in Chicago, Illinois during the draft combine in June 2014. The players got a chance to show their talent and strength, but also to show their true colors. That’s where LookLabs gets involved. Shot in RedLOG color space then finished with SpeedLooks CLEAN SL-3500 K.

This Indy 500 feature segment was shot on the Canon C500 with Canon Cinema Prime lenses and graded using SpeedLooks Clean SL3500 and Blue SL3527. The blend of these two LookLabs LUT's gives the feature a unique color finish adding to the overall emotional narrative of the piece. Speed, Risk, Danger was graded using Adobe SpeedGrade.

This Before and After from LookLabs features a short film produced by Dustin Alen, an independent producer from Alberta, Canada. This is Dustin's first feature length short which was filmed in the badlands of Alberta near Medicine Hat.
