pMorph Boomer Labs

pMorph

Overview

pMorph is a 3ds Max plugin that delivers Progressive Morphing – the ability to have the animation of a modified object be driven by the selection of frame(s) from the animation of another object.

With pMorph, 3ds MAX users can now accomplish complex animated sequences in a snap, which otherwise would have been nearly impossible!

Features

How is pMorph useful?

pMorph has many unique uses that enhance the production pipeline. Here are a few examples.

Complex Animations:

Many times, objects can transform in complex ways. Animating the timing and specific portions of the object that are affected are a snap with pMorph. For example, imagine a hose that has a clamp on it, and you want to animate a ball traveling down that hose (which would also cause the clamp to expand). With pMorph, dynamically animating this effect is simple and fast.

Influence Objects:

Animating an object (or a group of objects) based on an external influence. Any number of helpers and influence objects enable you to automatically adjust how your target object morphs based on these influences.

Retiming:

Using the frame specification capability of pMorph, you can accomplish precise control over your object's timing with ease.
